The client wanted a dedicated drinks station that integrated seamlessly with the kitchen cabinetry. Situated right next to the main cooking area, it needed to be easily accessible for evening entertaining while remaining completely discreet during the day.
Designed as a worktop dresser, this piece features traditional Shaker-style twin doors. Hung on exposed brass butt hinges, they swing wide to rest flush against the adjacent cabinetry, keeping the busy cooking area clear. The softly painted exterior gives way to a subtle ‘gris-belge’ stained oak interior, its warmth enhanced by integrated LED lighting. Hanging glass racks and a mirrored back panel reflect the light, adding depth and sophistication to the cabinet.
This is the hidden gem concept executed perfectly. By day, it acts as elegant, streamlined storage. By night, opening the doors reveals a warm glow that instantly transforms the kitchen into an inviting social space.
