The utility usually gets the short straw. Not here. We treated this space with the same respect as the main kitchen. The aesthetic is ‘Country Clean’, soft creamy white Shaker cabinetry designed to handle the dirty work without looking like a scullery.
Function leads the way. We tucked the Miele appliances under the counter to create a generous run of durable worktops, perfect for sorting and folding. We added open shelving with traditional corbel brackets to keep the room feeling airy, and finished it with an antique brass tap for a hint of warmth.
