Boot rooms often end up as a dumping ground. The goal here was to stop that happening. We wanted a hardworking mudroom that handles the mess but looks refined enough to greet guests. It needed to be tough, but it had to look elegant.
Designed to maximise every inch of the room, a bespoke corner configuration blends tall storage with a practical window seat. On the left, floor-to-ceiling cupboards tuck bulky coats and muddy wellies completely out of sight. The seat offers a welcoming spot to pause while pulling on boots, while deep drawers underneath hide hats and scarves. Finished in Little Greene ‘Joanna’ with brushed gold hardware, the space remains beautifully warm rather than utilitarian.
