How We Work

From Your Brief to Your Finished Kitchen

One team designs, makes and fits every Andrew Ryan kitchen. Here’s what happens at each stage, and how long it takes, so you always know what comes next.

Six Steps, One Team

02

Timings are typical, and we confirm each one with you as your project moves forward.

Part One · Design

Designed Around Your Home

Step 01

Your Brief

It starts with a conversation, at our showroom in Gorey or in your home. We talk about how you live, what the room needs to do, the look you love and a guide budget, so your design starts from the right place.

Step 02

Design Presentation

We invite you back to see your design come to life: floor plans, presentation drawings and full CGI renders of your room, with proposed costs for cabinetry, stone and appliances.

A design deposit releases your designs and reserves your slot in our production schedule.

Step 03

Refine & Sign Off

We go through every dimension, appliance, handle, paint colour and stone detail with you, with physical samples to hand, refining until it’s exactly right.

Nothing is made until you’ve signed off the full technical drawings. We then order your appliances, sinks and taps and schedule their delivery, so you have one team looking after everything.

Part Two · Making

Made in Our Own Workshop

We’ve been making furniture in Gorey since 1973, and many of our cabinet makers have been with us for a decade or more. Nothing is bought in or mass-produced. Every component is made for your room.

Step 04

Detailed Site Survey

Before anything is cut, we take a full set of measurements in your room. Every cabinet is built to fit your home exactly, so scribes are tight and lines run true, even in older houses where walls are rarely straight.

Step 05 · 10–12 Weeks

Production

Precision machined: every part is cut to the millimetre for your project, never from a standard range.
Built at the bench: doors, frames and drawers are assembled by hand by our joiners.
Hand-finished: surfaces are prepared by hand before spraying in our own paint booths.
Checked before it leaves: every cabinet is assembled, tested and inspected before delivery.

Part Three · Installation

Fitted by Our Own Team

Step 06 · 2–5 Weeks on Site

Delivery & Installation

Delivery dates are agreed well in advance and confirmed one to two weeks out. Our own team delivers and fits, laying floor protection on day one and using dust extraction throughout, so your home stays as orderly as possible.

Most kitchens take two to three weeks on site; larger or more complex projects, three to five.

The Final Touch

Hand-Finished on Site

Once everything is fitted, one of our specialist finishers hand-paints over fixings and scribed edges. We then check every door, drawer and gap, and don’t sign off until it all works exactly as it should.

Prefer to use your own trusted fitters? We can deliver your furniture fully made, with technical plans for your team.
