Wexford Townhouse Lounge

The Wexford Townhouse Lounge shows how beautifully a living area can flow from the kitchen to create one welcoming family space. This design focuses on seamless continuity, carrying the same elegant cabinetry style throughout the ground floor. Combining open shelving for favourite decor with deep base cupboards, it neatly tucks away everyday tech—transforming the television corner into a sophisticated, beautifully organised media room.

The Brief

The goal here was continuity. The client wanted the living area to be a natural extension of the kitchen, not just a separate room where the furniture style suddenly changes. It needed to house the tech without lowering the tone of the room.

The Details

By carrying the kitchen’s cabinetry style and paint colour through to the lounge, the whole ground floor feels like one cohesive space. Elegant open shelving offers the perfect backdrop for displaying books and decor, while deep base cabinetry is designed to house everyday tech and media controls—keeping the room looking beautifully organised.

Questions About This Media Room

Carrying the kitchen’s cabinetry style and paint colour through makes the whole ground floor feel like one space.

Deep base cabinetry houses the everyday tech and media controls, so the screen never dominates.

Books and decor: the shelving gives them a backdrop while the closed cupboards below keep the room organised.
