Our designers are experienced at helping clients tranform their spaces. Our designers follow a simple design process with every kitchen, utility, boot-room or dressing room. We advise all clients to begin the design process as early as possible, its not unusal for a kitchen design to influence the position of doors and windows in a new build or extension. While we do not charge for our initial design meetings, our 3D design drawings are only released on initial deposit payment. To request a design meeting, you can contact us at one of our showrooms or use the form below. Keep reading to learn more about the design process at Andrew Ryan.

The Design Process

Room Dimensions

Before we start, your designer will need an idea of your space. This can be taken from an architects plan, your own measurements of the room or a home survey visit.

We will look for details on ceiling heights, windows, doors and any proposed room features like chimney breast, sliding door or roof lanterns. Our designers will input your room into 2D CAD ready to start designing with you.

Design meetings can be at our showrooms, virtually over teams or with clients in their own home.

An initial meeting will cover everything from reworking of Interior architecture layout, your appliance wishlist, colour schemes and project timescales. Bring any wishlist items to your design meeting for your designer to incorporate them in your layout.

Layout

A beautifully crafted kitchen or boot-room starts with a design layout in 2D. Our cabinetry is fully bespoke as standard. This means there are no standard sized cabinets. Your designer can perfectly fit your chosen style of cabinetry to your own room.

Our aim is to finish with a draft sketch and provisional cost of your kitchen or cabinetry project.

Appliances, Sinks & Taps

Your new kitchen or utility will need ovens & hobs, fridges and dishwashers. We offer a hand-picked selection of products from a select number of brands. Many of these can be found on our website - use our wishlist tool to help you make your own list.

If it all looks abit daunting, your designer can suggest appliances, sinks & taps to suit your needs, style and budget. Any appliances you order can be delivered along with your kitchen cabinetry and fitted by our experienced installers.

Colour Scheme

We don't like to think in single colours - but in colour schemes. Our design team will put together a colour scheme for your kitchen or room layout. Selecting handles, paints, stone and timber finishes from our curated collections and bringing them to life in our 3D rendered drawings.

Our technical designers can produce lifelike 3D renders of your room in multiple colour schemes to help you decide which option best suits your personal taste.
